Pattie Lucy Thomas, 81, of Lawrenceville, VA, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021.
A lifelong resident of Brunswick County, she was the daughter of the late Thelma M. Lucy and Leland Henry Lucy, and her step-mother, Nellie (Grand) Pearson Lucy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Franklin Thomas, three sisters, Ella Mae Piercy (Rainey), Ann Lucy Gwaltney (William), and Elsie L. Cline (Bill). Patsy was a life member of Liberty Church and Brunswick Volunteer Rescue Squad Auxiliary. She was a lifelong tobacco farmer’s wife of Brightleaf Farms in Lawrenceville, VA, an avid NASCAR Fan, especially of Elliott Sadler, and a breast cancer survivor. Mrs. Thomas is survived by sons, Donny Thomas (Joyce), Mike Thomas (Abbe), and Barry Thomas (Janet); grandchildren, Lyndsay Buchanan (Jason), Danny Thomas (Brittany), Justin Thomas and J.R. Thomas; great-grandchildren, Faith Buchanan, Kayelee Buchanan, Lee Ann Thomas, and Aerin Thomas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Williams Funeral Home & Crematory of Lawrenceville, VA. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Liberty Church, Lawrenceville Volunteer Fire Department, or the Brunswick County Cancer Association.     Patsy was a dear, loving, kind, funny lady. She was full of passion and loved her Lord Jesus and all her family and friends. She will forever hold a special place in my heart and thinking about her just makes me smile! Hugs love and prayers to you all ❤️
