Barbara Lambert Hawthorne

Barbara Lambert Hawthorne, 77, of Alberta, VA, passed away on September 9, 2026 surrounded by family. Barbara was married to the late William Braxton Hawthorne, “W.B.”, for 61 years.

Barbara is survived by three daughters, Judi Daniel (F.M.), Bobbie Ann Lee, and Connie Cline (Mike). Barbara also leaves behind her best friend, Pat.

Barbara was loved by eight grandchildren, Katie Jo Welton (Mike), Wil Daniel (Krystal), Dalton Arthur (Kelsey), Walter Gray, Jordan Lee, Brandon Lee (Ashley), Austin Cline (Cassidy) and Stephen Cline. She has thirteen great-grandchildren, Mariah Atkins (Mikey), Zach Thomas (Natalie), Wyatt Welton, Greenlee & Hazel Daniel, and Colton Arthur, Zane, Zion, Amaryah, and Elias Gray, Amora & Alana Lee, and Wyatt Cline; two great-grandchildren, Wesley Braxton Thomas and Asher Atkins.

Barbara also leaves behind two brothers, Edward Lambert (Tricia) of Richmond and Bill Love (Virginia) of California.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Lambert and Hazel and Hunter Love.

Our mother worked for many years at the Alberta ABC store and then in the Lawrenceville ABC store where she enjoyed her regular customers. Barbara loved cooking and canning, crafting, and her swimming pool.

We find comfort in knowing that Barbara’s legacy lives on through the lessons she taught us, the life she lived, the love she had for her family and friends and the many memories we will cherish forever.

The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. on Friday, September 11, 2026 at Williams Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, VA.
