Winfrey Thomas Grizzard

Winfrey Thomas Grizzard, age 77, of Lawrenceville, VA, passed away Monday, May 31, 2021 surrounded by his family. Born in Southampton County, VA, he was the son of the late Hugh Swanson and Mary Pearl Morris Grizzard. He was also preceded in death by four sisters, and two brothers. Mr. Grizzard had a love for drag racing in his younger years and enjoyed camping in the mountains. Most of all, he loved his wife, children and grandchildren, and time spent with them. He was a member of James Square Baptist Church and a retired employee of Union Camp. Mr. Grizzard is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Diane Grizzard; daughters, Mary Beth Linstra and husband, Scott, and Holly Chiesa and husband, Brandon; grandchildren, Virginia Chiesa, Adelle Chiesa, Pearl Chiesa, and Grant Linstra, as well as numerous extended family members. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2021 at James Square Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Donnie Edmonds officiating.
