William Edward Wright

William Edward Wright, age 81, of White Plains, VA, passed away April 8, 2025.

He is survived by his two children, William B. Wright (Kay) and Torie L. Turner (Lenny), two grandchildren, William Howard Wright (Annie) and Katie Lynne Wright (Hunter), a special long-time employee and friend of 50 years, Bo Blackwell, and a beloved dog, Scooter.

He was a graduate of Brunswick High School Class of 1962 and a lifetime farmer. This was his 62nd year of growing tobacco on his own and was the #1 grower for Universal Leaf of La Crosse for the last 12 years.

Edward was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church in White Plains, VA.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Tabernacle UMC Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home.
