Wilda Robertson Stabler

Wilda Robertson Stabler, age 90, of Midlothian, VA, passed away on May 2, 2024. Wilda was a daughter of the late Willie Royal and Minnie Puryear Robertson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Lonnie W. Stabler, Jr; her brother, James Robertson, sister, Delma Kolekofski, brother, Eddie Royal Robertson, and sister, Shirley Carter. Wilda is survived by her children, Lonnie W. Stabler, III (Melissa), Kenny D. Stabler (Denez), all of Midlothian, VA, and Jil Stabler Murfee (Harrison), of Holly Springs, NC; four grandchildren, Lance and McKenna Stabler and Kayla and Harrison Murfee; two great-grandchildren, Braiden and Bella Stabler; one sister, Nell Rutledge, and sister-in-law, Mattie Robertson, both of South Hill, VA, and one brother, Thomas Robertson (Linda), of Chesterfield, VA, and many nieces, nephews and in-laws by marriage. Wilda graduated from Buckhorn High School in Union Level, VA, and attended Smithdeal-Massey Business College in Richmond. She transferred to Orlando, FL, with USF&G Insurance Co. where she and Lonnie met, married and raised their children for 20 years before transferring to Midlothian in 1980. She was a retired employee of Royal Insurance Co. and a member of The Brandermill Church. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 10, at Williams Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, VA. Interment in the Crestview Memorial Park in La Crosse (South Hill), VA. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. The family thanks Crater Community Hospice for their help and loving care in her final days.
