Shirley Lewis Bishop Bland

Shirley Lewis Bishop Bland, age 87, of Alberta, VA passed away October 5, 2017. Shirley was a lifelong member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Alberta, VA. She is preceded in death by her husbands, James D. Bishop, Sr. and James Taylor Bland; her sons, James D. Bishop, Jr. and Howard B. Bishop, Sr.; her sister, Glenice L. Kidd; and her two brothers, Robert B. Lewis and Herbert James Lewis. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Bland; four grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren; and her sister, Marie Lewis Maxfield. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Bethel Church Cemetery, Alberta. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home, Lawrenceville.
