Sharon Ela Lewis

Sharon Ela Lewis, age 81, of Gasburg, VA, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024.

Born and raised in Richmond, VA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Pauline Westbury Leadbetter. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Ralph W. Lewis, Jr.; a son, James Long, Sr.; two grandsons, Steven Ray Blythe and Dustin House; and siblings, Raymond Leadbetter, Jr., Robert Hare, and Annette Spragins.

Mrs. Lewis was a longtime member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of Gasburg Volunteer Fire Department.  

She is survived by two daughters, Sherri Lynn Blythe (Kevin Blythe, Sr.) and Deborah Ann Barker (Eric Barker); grandchildren, James Long, Ricky Long (Courtney), Kevin Blythe, Jr., Brian Barker (Diana Gibbs), Heather Barker (Mehar Rajput), a host of great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.  

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Williams Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, VA. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
