Robert H. Ferguson

Robert H. Ferguson, Capt. USN (Retired,) age 84, of Valentines, VA, passed away at his home on Saturday, January 16, 2021. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and served our country for 30+ years in the United States Navy. He was a man of commitment, a man of character and integrity, a man of honor, dignity, and grace. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Patricia; son, Blair Ferguson (Debbie) of Virginia Beach, VA; daughter, Piper Riddick (Cathy) of Smithfield, VA; son, Robert Ferguson, Jr. (Julia) of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Trevor Ferguson, Keely Ferguson, Blake Davis (Dana), Taylor Davis (Aaron), Robert Ferguson III, and Abigayle Ferguson; great-grandchildren, Wake Davis and Harper Corbett; sister Carol (Bob) Casey and niece, Laura. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Christian Church, officiated by Pastor Greg Hand. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pleasant Hill Christian Church (P O Box 550, Gasburg, VA 23857) or Central Volunteer Rescue Squad (P O Box 386, Gasburg, VA 23857).
