Robert Eugene Ellis

A Memorial Service for Gene will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Lawrenceville Baptist Church.

Gene is survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara Stronge Ellis. 

Gene and Barb raised 3 children and were blessed with 8 grandchildren. 

Their oldest son, Jonathan and his wife Shilo, are the parents of 2 of Gene’s grandchildren Caylen and Colin.  His daughter Carrie, with her husband Brian, have 4 daughters, Ella, Caroline, Juliet and Brooke.  Gene’s youngest son Peter has 2 daughters, Haley and Mya.

Gene was a 1969 Brunswick High School graduate.  He went to Bluefield College and

Carson-Newman University and attended Graduate School at Marshall University.

Gene’s Memorial Service will be a celebration of life for family and friends.
