Richard Ira Seay

Richard Ira Seay, age 84, of Littleton, NC, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023. Born and raised in Newport News, VA, he was the son of the late Joe and Berta Seay. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Bertie-Jo Werth.

Richard was an ordinary man who did extraordinary things. He was a builder by trade but his legacy lies in his Christian walk.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Janice Marie Seay; his daughters, Teri Peters (Doug), Cheryl Seay, Pam Coy (Pat), and Jan Sullivan (Mark); “his 5^th daughter,” Amy K. Lydon; grandchildren, Buster Saunders (Amanda), D.J. Peters (Courtney Marie), Charlie Whitley, Jarrod Saunders (Jamie), Courtney Sipes (Zach), Josh Peters (Megan), and Hayden Sullivan (Aleena); nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Forest Hill Baptist Church, 2103 Pine Log Road, Skippers, VA 23879, with Rick Ragan officiating.
