Ralph Mason

Ralph Mason, age 83, of McKenney, VA, passed away on October 5, 2023. He was born on July 13, 1940, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his brother, Earl Paul Mason.

Ralph was a loving husband to Wilma Mason and a devoted father to Lloyd Moseley, Kristi Kirks (Herbert), and Trish Williamson. He is also survived by his sister, Ruth Wray, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Ralph was a truly selfless man. He never met a stranger. He always put his family first. He worked hard and had a successful career as a carpenter. He was the proud owner of Ralph's Home Improvements. He attended Ferrum College for his higher education. In his free time, Ralph enjoyed spending time with his McKenney buddies and solving crossword and jigsaw puzzles, as well as spending quality time with his family and eating all his favorite foods. In the end, he said he had no regrets.

Ralph loved the Lord and worshipped at Calvary's Love Ministries in Hopewell, VA. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2023, at McKenney Community Church (formerly Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church) 10590 Doyle Boulevard, McKenney, VA 23872. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center, P.O. Box 980214, Richmond, VA 23284.

The funeral arrangements are being handled by Williams Funeral Home and Crematory, located in Lawrenceville, VA.
