Patty Clodfelter Grigg

Patty “Pat” Clodfelter Grigg, 93, of Valentines, Virginia, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, and she is now in the presence of the Lord. She was a native of Thomasville, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Fred Lee Clodfelter and Ruth Clinard Clodfelter. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Sunny Wood. She was a member of Olive Branch United Methodist Church in Gasburg, Virginia. 

Pat is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, B. J. Grigg. She is also survived by her son Lee Bumgardner and wife Darlene; her two stepdaughters, Marsha Price and husband James and Terri Wood and husband Dale all of Newport News, Virginia; two sisters, Carol Clodfelter of Winston Salem, North Carolina and Judy Hightower and husband Jim of Greensboro, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Summer Bumgardner, Gwen Skye, and Michael Wood; five great grandchildren, Ava Supple, Austin Smoot, Aidan Smoot, Kasey Wood, and Maple Nye. She had many special nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors, including a special niece Amber Hedrick and her family. 

Pat worked as a Civil Service Federal Employee for 32 years at Langley Air Force Base and Fort Monroe, where she retired as a Management Analyst. Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend, and neighbor and a great listener that could always lighten the load of others. 

Honoring her wishes, there will not be a service.
