Oliver "Bubba" Hawes Wells

Oliver “Bubba” Hawes Wells, age 77, of McKenney, VA passed away September 10, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oliver McGill and Myrtle Carter Wells; wife, Jonnie Driver Wells; and granddaughter, Anna Cook. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Gauldin Wells; his daughters, Gina Davis and husband Mark and J.J. Green and husband Tommy; his step-daughter, Laura Abernathy; his grandchildren, Kelsey and Kyle Swenson, Jonathan Davis and Christopher Cook; his brother, Sam Wells and wife Lynn; numerous nieces and nephews; his Nottoway Restaurant family; and friends and members of the Sons of Confederate Veterans – Old Brunswick Camp. A graveside service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Cut Banks Baptist Church Cemetery, McKenney, VA.
