Minnie Clarke Washburn

Minnie Clarke Washburn, 91, of Lawrenceville, VA passed away September 22, 2019. Minnie was born June 25, 1928 in Triplet, Virginia. She was a beautician in her home for 50 years. She is predeceased by her parents, Peter A. and Ethel N. Clarke; her brothers, James and Charlie Clarke; and her sister, Rosa Powell. Minnie, our Mom and our Nanny, will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband of 73 years, Earl W. Washburn; four children, Everett Earl and wife Robbie, Keith and wife Judy, June Love and Kent and wife Beverly; her ten grandchildren, Amanda, Heather (Iain), Daniel (Dawn), Wilson (Brandi), Julie, Shanna, Alicia, Everett (Christy), Laura (Chris), and Collin; her thirteen great grandchildren, Caitlin, Blake, Nelia, Gracie, Luke, Jack, Sean, Grant, Aubreigh, Carson, Carter, Myles and Everett, III; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Lawrenceville United Methodist Church with interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Lawrenceville. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 at the church, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lawrenceville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 2 Lawrenceville, VA. 23868. Williams Funeral Home, Lawrenceville will be handling the arrangements.
