Mary Grizzard Capps

Mary Grizzard Capps, age 81, of Raleigh, N.C., formerly of Lawrenceville, VA passed away August 4, 2017. Mary Capps was a 50 year resident of Wake County and known by everyone for her loving, caring and selfless dedication to her family, friends and work associates. She always placed the needs of others ahead of her own. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Margaret Edmonds and her brother, Louis “Buddy” Edmonds. She is survived by her husband, Charlie J. Capps; her two daughters, Cornelia “Skeeter” C. Woolard and husband Leslie Woolard, Jr. and Carol C. Berry and husband Bill; her grandchildren, Andi Drew, Leslie Woolard, III and wife Candice, and Lea Berry; her great grandchildren, Jared Drew and Tyler, Sydnee and Josh Woolard; her sister, Margaret Ann Billups and husband Don; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday at Oakwood Cemetery, Lawrenceville, VA. Memorial contributions may be made to Transitions HospiceCare 200 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, N.C. 27607.
