Mabel Temple Lewis

Mabel Temple Lewis, age 94, of Dolphin, Virginia passed away November 9, 2021.She is the daughter of the late William and Nettie Temple and is preceded in death by her husband, John Harman “Achie” Lewis, Sr.; her twin sons, Bobby Lewis and Billy Lewis; her daughter, Beverly Jackson; her brother, William Temple; and two sisters, Marion Clary and Frances Tatum. Known as Mama, Granny and Nanny to many, she leaves behind two sons, John H. “Buddy” Lewis, Jr. and Barron Lewis and wife Melissa; her grandchildren, Ryan Jackson and wife Tara, Kyle Jackson and wife Sarah, Chad Lewis and wife PC, Curt Lewis and wife Patti, Wendy Glascock, Patrick Lewis and wife Ashley, Tyler Lewis and Monica Boyer, Brandon Lewis and Aaron Lucy and Sarah Allen; thirteen great grandchildren, Kristen Walker and husband Wesley, Amber Jackson and Triston Bishop, Samantha Jackson, Jordan Jackson, Kurt Velvin and wife Tiffany, Harley Jones, Megan Lewis, Mallory Lewis, Jackson Feild, Lindsay Lambert, Nicholas Glasscock, Noah Lewis and Lilly Lewis; five great great grandchildren; her sister Janie Gibson; and her son-in-law, Larry Jackson. Mabel was a longtime member of Liberty Church. She loved being a farmer’s wife and loved everyone she met. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday at Williams Funeral Home, Lawrenceville with interment at Liberty Church Cemetery, Dolphin, VA. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. (one hour prior to the service) at Williams Funeral Home.
