With the deepest sorrow and heartfelt gratitude for a life so beautifully lived, we announce the sudden passing of a devoted mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of God, Linda Lee Link, age 76, who entered eternal rest on May 4, 2026.
She was the beloved mother of David Jason Link, who was the center of her world and the recipient of her unwavering love and support. From his earliest days, she stood faithfully by his side—encouraging his music, his journey, and his purpose. She was his constant—speaking with him each morning, afternoon, and night, and never missing a moment to remind him of her love. Her support extended to every performance, every mile traveled, and every dream pursued.
She was a woman of deep faith, known for her gentle spirit, kind heart, and the remarkable grace with which she lived her life. For over 40 years, she served as a dedicated piano player at Pelhams Church and Reedy Creek Church, blessing countless lives with the beauty of her music. Her hymns were not just songs—they were expressions of her devotion and her love for the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her father William Carlton Link, her twin brother Wayne Carlton Link and her sister Melissa Ann Link Boucher (Mike), with whom she is now joyfully reunited.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her son, David Jason Link (Anna); her mother, Estelle Link, her cherished granddaughter, Kayla Marie Link Felts (Noah), whom she adored and was blessed to see married just weeks before her passing; her family members, including her brothers Martin McKay Link and Booker T. “Tommy” Link (Linda), her sister-in-law Terri Link and her faithful sidekick “Indy”; also many nieces, nephews and extended family members and dear friends whose lives will be forever touched by her kindness.
She will be remembered for the warmth of her home, especially the family cabin built by her father, where countless memories were made. She welcomed all with open arms, fed friends like family, and created a place of comfort, laughter, and love.
She never spoke a bad word about anyone, choosing instead to lead with compassion, understanding, and grace. Even through life’s challenges, her love never wavered—it only grew stronger.
Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her spirit lives on in every note of music played, every act of kindness shown, and every life she touched.
We find peace in knowing she is now in the presence of God, seated at the most beautiful golden piano in Heaven, continuing to share her gift and watching over those she loves.
In honoring her life, we remember her as the perfect “Mama Mama” —a woman whose love will never fade and whose legacy will live on forever.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the caregivers from Americare Home Health, who were so kind and caring during her recent illness.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2026 at Pelhams United Methodist Church, 7665 Bellfield Road, Emporia, VA 23847. The interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital https://stjude.org.
