Lillian Daeke Hamlin

Lillian Daeke Hamlin, 93, of Lawrenceville, Virginia and Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina died May 14, 2023. She was the widow of Joseph E. Hamlin, Jr. of Lawrenceville and the daughter of the late Frederick and Matilda Lauterbach Daeke of Henderson, North Carolina.

She is survived by her daughter, Lian Hamlin Elliott (Thomas) and grandson Bradley Elliott, all of Roanoke Rapids.

Also surviving are a special niece, Teresa Abbott Edwards (Joel) of Henderson and eight beloved nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Trudy Abbott and Eva Mae Turner; and four brothers, Fritz Daeke, Walter Daeke, Leonard Daeke and Paul Daeke.

A graveside ceremony will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Oakwood Cemetery in Lawrenceville. Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
