Joseph Collin Howerton, Jr.

Joseph Collin “J.C.” Howerton, Jr., age 96, a lifelong resident of Rawlings, VA passed away Friday, February 3, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Collin and Connie Carter Howerton; his wife of 60 years Connie Evans Howerton; and a son, Gerald Wayne Howerton.

He is survived by three daughters, Gale Howerton Daniel, Kasey Howerton Adams, and Donna Howerton Gupton; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

J.C. was a lifelong farmer and an amateur pilot. He enjoyed taking care of his cows, flying his plane all over the area, and riding his tractor.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 6, 2023 at Williams Funeral Home & Crematory in Lawrenceville, VA.
