Joseph Monroe Glenn, Jr.

Joseph Monroe Glenn, Jr., age 88, a resident of Valentines, VA, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

Born in Richmond, VA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Eva Glenn, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Lorraine Glenn, a son, Michael Wayne Odom, and a granddaughter, Amanda Rae Odom.

Joe was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Phillip Morris after more than 30 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and spending time with his family. Joe was an avid guitar player and loved country and bluegrass music.

He is survived by a daughter, Vickie Glenn Bounds and husband, Stephen; a son, Tony Odom and wife, Cecile; grandchildren, Matthew Wayne Bounds and wife, Trista, Joseph Lee Bounds and wife, Leslie, Jordan Odom and wife, Heather, Leah Odom, and Laura Odom, and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2025 at Williams Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, VA. A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Pilots Lane, Richmond, VA 23222.
