John Lee Hughes

John Lee Hughes, age 63, of Lawrenceville, VA, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023. He was born and raised in Chesapeake, VA, and lived in Lawrenceville, VA for the last five years. He worked in the elevator repair industry for many years, most recently with Dover Elevator. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Lee “Tink” Hughes, and his son, Dylan Hughes. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cynthia L. Hughes; a daughter, Courtney Hughes; grandsons, David and Andrew; his mother, Diane Hughes; a sister, Linda Scott (Craig); nieces, Amy and Amber.
