James Minetree "Jimmy" Seay, III

James “Jimmy” Minetree Seay, III, of Petersburg, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2022, the day before his 84^th birthday. He is the only son of the late Jane and James Minetree Seay, Jr. Jimmy was a very proud member of the Army Reserve for over 20 years, and alumni of the University of Virginia. In his free time, he enjoyed waxing his Mustang, boating on the James River, and attending UVA college football games. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gail M. Seay, younger sister, Carroll Hathaway (Dennis), sister-in-law, Donna Cifers (Leo), a niece who he loved like a daughter, Ashley Blackwell (Joshua), and was lucky enough to inherit another niece and nephew through marriage, Ashley Jones (Kurt) and Brandon Cifers (Kelly). The family had a private service where he lay in eternal rest in the hands of his Lord and Savior.
