Jeffery Brian Anderson

December 15, 1960 — May 19, 2025

Jeffery Brian Anderson, 64, of McKenney, VA entered eternal rest on May 19, 2025. Jeff was born in Petersburg, VA on December 15,1960 to parents, Gonjoe and Mabel Anderson. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, son, brother, grandpa, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend.

Jeff grew up in Church Road, VA where he enjoyed being outdoors - hunting, fishing, and exploring. Early on, he worked in various forms of construction and learned many valuable skills he carried with him throughout his life. Jeff had a special love for NASCAR, Drag Racing, and tractor/truck pulling. He was also musically inclined as displayed through his drummer talents in several local bands. He could build or fix just about anything!

Jeff was an expert small engine mechanic and had recently enjoyed the successes of business ownership at Anderson Equipment Services in Dinwiddie, VA. The dedication and commitment to his faithful customer base was a priority to him and one that brought him a great sense of joy and accomplishment.

Jeff had a lifelong love of motorcycles and enjoyed rides through the countryside, visiting the mountains with his wife, and attending an annual bike event in Daytona Beach with his brother and friends. Always patriotic and community-minded, Jeff served in the McKenney Ruritan Club and held the role of Sergeant in the Mechanized Cavalry of the Dinwiddie Grays.

Beyond his hobbies and professional life, Jeff was a kind, generous, and loyal person who always put others first. He loved helping others-family, friends, neighbors, and anyone in need. Jeff was a true friend, a caring family member, and a cherished husband and father. He will be deeply missed and forever loved and remembered.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Beth Anderson; his caring mama, Mabel Anderson; his beautiful daughters and their spouses, Elizabeth and Clyde “CP” Harris, Brandy and Andrew “DJ” Wright, Jr.; step-sons, Tyler (Rachel) and Logan Griner; his awesome grandchildren, Jennings, Harry and Gray Goodwin, Annie Fleming and Betty Harris, Skyla, Carter and Bella Wright; his supportive siblings and their spouses, Debbie and Wayne Orr, Keith and Beverly Anderson, and Susan Watkins; his mother-in-law, Peggy Ewald; his brother-in-law and spouse, Eric and Karin Ewald; and a host of his nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Gonjoe Anderson; father-in-law, Tommy Ewald; and brother-in-law, Maxwell Watkins. Together in heaven - telling stories, fixing things, and farming God’s land!
