Helen Irene Whitby Clary

Helen Irene Whitby Clary, age 76, of Gasburg, VA passed away August 26, 2022.She is the daughter of the late DeWitt T. and Lula C. Whitby. She is survived by her son, Dan L. Clary; her siblings, William Spurgeon Whitby (Janet), Mary W. Killebrew (Joe) and Marjorie W. Whitby (Emory); and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thornton R. Clary “Frog” and her daughter, Monica Lane Clary Finch. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Elmo and Tom Whitby and her sisters, Blanche J. Spence, Janet Turner Lofland and Norine W. Ellis. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Pleasant Hill Christian Church with interment in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Hill Christian Church, P.O. Box 550, Gasburg, VA 23857, Central Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 386, Gasburg, VA 23857 or Gasburg Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 225, Gasburg, VA 23857. Williams Funeral Home, Lawrenceville will be handling the arrangements.
