Hazel Baird Bishop

HAZEL BAIRD BISHOP, age 94, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 3, at Brandermill Healthcare in Midlothian, Va. Affectionately known by her grandchildren as Meme, she spent the majority of her life at her beloved home in Rawlings, Va. Her husband, Claude Vernon Bishop, preceded her in death. Hazel is survived by her children Stephen T. Bishop (Toni), C.V. (Pete) Bishop, Jr.(Cydnie), and Brenda B. Raney (Hamlin), 11 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, a sister, Shelby Jean Davis, sister in law, Marie Daniel and her dear friend, Josephine Campbell. Hazel was always a pillar of strength for her family, after losing her husband, at 44 years of age. She was a great cook, although she hated it, and a quiet listening ear, for those who needed one. A graveside service will be held, Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 11 a.m., Crestview Memorial Park, South Hill, Va.
