Emma Elizabeth “Betty” Coleman of Dinwiddie, VA, went to be with her heavenly father on June 1, 2025 at home surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Abner Fisher, her mother, Elnora Fisher, her sister, Katherine “Kitty” Heller, her brothers, Abner Goodwyn “A.G.,” Harvey Lee, Harold, and James Fisher, and her nephew, Dustin Fisher.
Betty is survived by her husband of more than 60 years, Leonard Coleman; son, Ronnie Coleman; her three grandchildren, Joshua, Kaitlyn (River), and Dillon Coleman; a great-grandchild, Journey Mae, who was the apple of her eye; her sister, Patsy Christopher; her brother, Claiborne Fisher (Linda); nieces, Carol Frye (Michael), Sandra Fisher (Richard), Robin Beckwith (Tommy), and Laura Ann Ellis; nephews, Eddie Christopher (Kim) and Christopher Fisher (Jane); great-nieces, Tracy Frye (Tyler), Lauren Christopher, and Nicole Frye; and great-nephew, Ryan Christopher.
Betty was a wife, homemaker, and childcare provider, and she was a loving and caring “Gaga.”
The family would like to thank Pastor Robert Rowland for his spiritual guidance throughout her journey. The family would also like to acknowledge the loving care provided by Kaitlyn, Lauren, Nicole, Dillon, and Kim.
A graveside funeral service, conducted by Pastor Robert Rowland, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Prospect Christian Church Cemetery, 13422 White Oak Road, DeWitt, VA 23840.
