Ellen Doris Phillips Clarke

Ellen Doris Phillips Clarke, age 86, of Triplet, VA passed away December 28, 2017. Doris was a homemaker, “Farmer’s Wife”, and a member of the Triplet Volunteer Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary. She is the daughter of the late Virgil and Harriet Phillips. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Alexander Clarke. She is survived by four children Connie Morris, Robert Steve Clarke and wife Teresa, Barry Clarke and wife Cathy, and Missy Whitlow and husband Giles; her grandchildren, Rebecca Clarke, Jennifer Robertson, Jessica Mills, Charles “Chuck” Whitlow, Scott Clarke, D.C. Morris and Kristen Clarke and their spouses; her five great grandchildren, Christopher, Jayden, Grace, Ava Clarke and Scotty; her sister, Peggy Byers; her brother, V.J. Phillips; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Philadelphia United Methodist Church, Triplet, VA with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 pm 3:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
