Earl Woodrow Washburn

Earl Woodrow Washburn, 96, of Lawrenceville, VA, passed away June 30, 2020. Earl was born December 20, 1923. He was a deputy sheriff for 39 years with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office and retired in 1988 as Captain. He is predeceased by his wife of 73 years, Minnie Clarke Washburn; his parents, Fletcher C. Washburn and Janie W. Washburn; his brothers, Clyde, Clarence, Jesse, and Grady; and his sisters, Myrtle Fackler, Emma Sue Roberts, and Janie Brown. Earl, our father and our Papa, will be lovingly remembered and missed by his four children, Everett Earl and wife Robbie, Keith and wife Judy, June Love, and Kent and wife Beverly; his ten grandchildren, Amanda, Heather (Iain), Daniel (Dawn), Wilson (Brandi), Julie, Shanna, Alicia, Everett (Christy), Laura (Chris), and Collin; 14 great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Blake, Nelia, Gracie, Luke, Jack, Sean, Grant, Aubreigh, Carson, Carter, Myles, Everett III, and Lawson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A private funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lawrenceville United Methodist Church, 300 W. Church Street, Lawrenceville, VA 23868.
