Doris Jean Smith Michael

Doris Jean Smith Michael, age 88, of Lawrenceville, Virginia passed away May 30, 2022.She is the daughter of the late William and Etta Smith and is preceded in death by her husband, George Emmit Michael; a brother, Lewis Smith and a sister, Alice Faye Smith Brewer. She is survived by her children, Vickie Lynn Michael, Steven Wayne Michael (Lisa), Danny Lee Michael (Connie); her grandchildren, Amanda M. Shao (Joey), Ethan Daniel Michael (Shanna), Steven Nicholas Michael; four step grandchildren, Owen, Ashton, Liam and Thea; her sister, Jewel Grey Allen; nieces and nephew, Betty Vancil, Ann Earles (Roger), Todd Allen (Paula), Cathy Crochet and Diane Brewer Roller; numerous great nieces and nephews; and her beloved fur babies, Copper, Salem and Shadow. Doris Jean loved her family, church, singing in the choir, her fur babies, flowers, bird watching and crocheting. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2022, at Edgerton United Methodist Church. A graveside service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at Edgerton Cemetery.
