Donna Thompson Davis

Donna Kaye Thompson Davis, age 70, a lifelong resident of DeWitt, VA, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Thompson; her mother, Mattie Ruth Martin Thompson Bailey; sisters, Carolyn Faye Thompson and Robin Bailey Davis; and her husband, John Davis – her beloved “Pa Rug.”

Donna loved spending time with her parrot “Ernie” and her beloved dog “Peanut.” She spent her days working puzzles and devoting time to her family.

Donna is survived by a brother, Mark Bailey and wife, Peggy; niece, Shelby Davis (Derek) and their daughter, Ruthie Lindell; nephew, James Matthew “Matt” Davis and his children, Kayleigh Marie Davis and Robert James “RJ” Davis; a cousin who was like a brother, Bruce Martin and his children, Catherine and Bruce Martin, as well as several lifelong friends and adopted nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at the Rocky Run Church Cemetery, 14925 Glebe Road, DeWitt, VA 23840.
