Denny Thompson "Tom" Whitby

Denny Thompson “Tom” Whitby, age 76, of Gasburg, VA passed away October 17, 2017. He is the son of the late Dewitt T. and Lula Connor Whitby. He is survived by his siblings, Blanche J. Spence, Janet W. Lofland, William Spurgeon Whitby (Janet), Mary W. Killebrew (Joe), Helen W. Clary and Marjorie W. Whitby (Emory) and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a sister, Norine W. Ellis and a brother, Elmo Whitby. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday at Pleasant Hill Christian Church, Gasburg, VA with interment in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tom’s memory may be made to the Central Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 386, Gasburg, VA 23857. Williams Funeral Home, Lawrenceville is in charge of arrangements.
