Carolyn Nicholson Phillips, 84, passed away on March 17, 2024 in Chesterfield County, Virginia, after a long struggle with her health. Carolyn graduated valedictorian from Brunswick High School in 1956 and was a Phi Beta Kappa student at James Madison University, graduating in 1960. She then began a decade long career teaching high school, primarily in Chesterfield County. She was a lifelong learner and was rarely without a book in her hands. She was also a fantastic cook and enjoyed playing the piano, especially for her family around Christmas. Carolyn was a devoted wife and mother who always put her love for her family before herself.

Special thanks go to her longtime physician, Doctor Hahn as well her special caregiver T. Carolyn Blair both of whom she grew to love very much for their exceptional care. Also, thanks to Bon Secours Hospice for their superior care and guidance through this difficult time.

Extra special thanks go to Robin Wingen Phillips who she came to rely on as her health declined. Robin was exceptionally good to her and she was blessed with two daughters-in-law she loved very much in Robin and Tiffany Cutts Phillips.
