Carolyn Powers Chavis

Carolyn Powers Chavis, age 74, a lifelong resident of Brunswick County, VA, passed away Monday, November 20, 2023.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ruth Powers, and a daughter, Jennifer Lucy. She is survived by her husband of ten years, Grady Chavis, Jr.; her children, Stephen Lucy (Tracey), Crystal Finch (Chuck), Shannon Lucy, and a special son, David Hinant; grandchildren, Victoria Kelly (Kendall), Dakoda Lucy, Alexis Finch (Chris), and Madison Finch; a great-grandson, Alex Kelly; sisters, Doris Carter and Ann Cliborne.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Williams Funeral Home followed by interment at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
