Barbara Gail Ezell

Barbara Gail Ezell, age 83, of Brodnax, VA, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Edward Hayes and Berta Mae Rogers Hayes; her husband of 39 years, Admiral William Ezell; siblings, Claude Hayes, Helen Liles, Winston Hayes, Landon Hayes, Coyette Hayes, James Hayes, Kenneth Wayne Hayes, Buster Hayes, M.J. Hayes, B. Hayes, Effie Rogers, Artie Crowder.

Mrs. Ezell enjoyed taking trips to the mountains with her family and friends. She will be remembered by her family as a devoted mother, grandmother and sister who was the center of the family.

She is survived by her children, Randy Grady (Sheila), Bobbie Gittman (Robert Dale), Ricky Ezell, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Mack Hayes (Vicki), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2026 at Williams Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, VA, followed by interment at Canaan Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
