Annette Rose Sculthorp Jones

Annette Rose Sculthorp Jones, age 74, of Ebony, Virginia passed away February 1, 2022.Annette was born on December 22, 1947, at MCV Hospital to Alice Seaman King Sculthorp and Earl Brigfort Sculthorp. She attended Brunswick County Public Schools and graduated salutatorian of the Brunswick High School Class of 1966. She was a secretary for Dr. Earle M. Bane and Dr. William B. Bishop and upon retirement worked part time for Mid Atlantic Eye Center and Sally and Sonny’s Florist. Annette was a lifetime member of Prospect United Methodist Church serving on many committees and the administrative council. She was a member of Central Lifesaving Rescue Squad and Associate member of the Ebony Volunteer Fire Department and the Ebony Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. Annette is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Charles Leonard Jones; cousins; nieces and nephew. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Prospect United Methodist Church, Ebony, VA with interment at the King-Sculthorp Family Cemetery, Ebony, VA. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Ebony Volunteer Fire Department, P.O.
