Ann Rawlings Long

Ann Rawlings Long, age 99, passed away quietly on Tuesday, November 21, in Richmond, VA. Ann was born June 15, 1918, in South Hill, VA, and lived most of her life in Lawrenceville, VA. She enjoyed the last 17 years as a resident of Westminster Canterbury in Richmond, VA. Her husband, Clifton Reade Long, and brother, John Bayley Rawlings, preceded her in death. Ann is survived by her children Reade R. Long (Deb), Katherine B. Long, and Antoinette L. Bishop (Steve), seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and devoted cousin, Phillip B. Johnson. Ann was loved by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of Westminster Canterbury, especially the nurses of the 2nd floor of PHC, for their loving support in her last years. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Westminster Canterbury Richmond, on Friday, December 1, at 11:00am. A graveside service will be held Friday, December 1, at Oakwood Cemetery in Lawrenceville, VA, at 3:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Lawrenceville Baptist Church, P.O.
